CONCLUDING
THOUGHTS
Paul speaking about his conversion said to King Agrippa, “I did not prove disobedient to the heavenly vision” (Acts 26:19). Heb 5:9 tells us that Christ is the source of salvation to all those who obey Him. Few people question the necessity of hearing, belief (faith), repentance and confession. Why then do so many people reject the idea of baptism? It is as clearly taught as any other part of the salvation process. Rather than question God’s word, shouldn’t we simply obey God’s word and be baptized?
In Acts 26:20, Paul goes on to say that we should perform deeds appropriate to repentance. Obeying God in baptism seems like a good first step.
